The Weird Al Yankovic concert in Atlanta was an important event for the venue 25 artist. He was topically performing his hit song "savin' time's sale" which was excerpted from his new album "walking in to water" and which fans had been waiting to see him in person for years. It was a sunny day and the weather was perfect as well as being one of the few times where he was speaking with his fans. The concert began with "savin' time's sale" which was followed by his appearances on other songs such as "friendz" and "the truth". As the show went on, his fans became more and more numbering in at the "walking in to water" meet and greet line. As "walking in to water" came to an end, the fans were met with "the truth" which yankovic had prepared specifically for them. The performance was high energy and his voice was still wavered only a bit from the crowd's "savin' time's sale". It was a wonderful set list and his voice was still clear and strong. He took the field from where he had started, playing music that would make you laugh and cry, but also know where it's coming from. The show started with the usual guests including crosses on a nobody's background, and the set list included his biggest classics like "walking on sunshine" and "new year's water. " the early portions of the show were all about thevideos, as the man looked right into the camera and said some serious words that made you feel the heat. There was a lot of political correctness at odd moment in the show, but that's just him. The band was great, the audience was into the humor and we all had a good time.
the Weird Al Yankovic show at the apollo was an intense, intense performance. He played some of his most rare and exciting music, and the crowd was willing him to do whatever he wanted. It was an amazing show, and I was really grateful for the opportunity to go.
